2. Can sorting the fractional
Comparing and Sorting Fractions
1. Comparing fractions whose denominators the same
Consider the following who fractions 2/7 with 1/7 where it's value is greater?
To solve this problem, you can use sorting number methods.
Pay attention
Because those 2 have same denominator, then the denominator doesn't need the attention. Then note the value of numerator 2 clearly greater than 1. So, it’s clear that the value of 2/7 > 1/7.

2. Comparing fraction whose denominators are different
Consider the following two numbers 1/5 with 3/7 about where it's value is greater?
To solve this problem you can use the smallest mutiple of fellowship (KPK).
Step I: Determine the KPK of 5 with 7.
Multiples of 5 are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, etc.
Multiples of 7 are 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, etc.
From the above data can be seen that the KPK of 5 with 7 is 35.
Step II: Determine the fraction with a denominator of 35 is equal to 1/5 and 3/7.
If the fraction is equivalent to 1/5 is x/35, what is the value of x?
Easy to find that the value of x is 7.
So, 1/5 is worth 7/35
In the same way whether you can determine that the fraction 3/7 is worth 15/35.
Phase III:
Comparing fractions 7/35 and 15/35 fractions. Since the value of denominator is same, then lived comparing the numerator. We easily get that 7/35 > 15/35. So. it's clear that value of 3/7 > 1/5.
That's the methods of comparing and sorting the fractions for Student Class VIIJunior High School.
